    From the forced exiles of Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, who moved to Berlin, to the chosen exoduses of Ernest Bloch, a Swiss composer who became a naturalized American, and Serge Prokofiev, a Soviet exile first in the United States and then in France, to Francis Poulenc's real or imagined journeys to Spain...
