EMMANUELLE BLANC - LIKE ROCK WATER
Immerse yourself in these dark, still waters.
Try to understand where they come from. They clearly don't seem to come from the mountains, they don't have the force of torrents. [The history and fragility of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais coalfield, an area that has undergone upheavals on colossal - almost geological - scales in its history, is a source of inspiration.

The history and fragility of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais coalfield, an area that has undergone upheaval on colossal - almost geological - scales in order to supply the energy needed for industrial development, is a perfect illustration of the Anthropocene. As a result of the excavation work, the area lies on shifting ground, still in motion 30 years after the last mine closed. Disrupted by mankind, the flow of water is often unnatural. All these movements will not stabilize for another few centuries...
CAMILLE BONNEFOI - PELURES
The photographs in the Pelures series speak of the imprint the world makes on us. They speak of the relationship between the human and the living: fragile and tenacious at the same time.
The natural world offers us the experience of "unavailability "1 and makes us alive and available to ourselves. My black-and-white landscape photographs seek to show, in an evanescent trace, the intimate relationship between the human and the landscape - whether inner or fantastical.
