  • Dominique Celis was born in Burundi to a Rwandan mother and a Belgian father. After a childhood in Rwanda and adolescence in Congo-Kinshasa, she spent twenty years in Belgium. She has a degree in philosophy and has lived in Rwanda for the past ten years. Her first novel, Ainsi pleurent nos hommes, was published in September 2022 by Philippe Rey.

    The docu/debate, open to the general public, will be held at the Ciné-Club de Saurupt, in the presence of author Dominique Celis and director Bernard Bellefroid. The Crous Lorraine will be showing the documentary "Une des mille collines". After the screening, there will be a discussion with the author and director on the theme of "crossed views on cohabitation in Rwanda".
