Biological invasions, symptoms of globalization, are leading to the standardization of biocenoses in all ecosystems. Freshwater aquatic environments are particularly hard hit, with numerous ecological and economic consequences, and difficulties in managing these invasive species. So what are the solutions? And are these introductions always negative?
