Exposition - l'école a cote

The Lettres et SHS university library presents an exhibition of drawings.

The artist, Mathias Mercier, is an illustrator, scriptwriter and musician. A self-taught artist, he comes from the West of France and lives in the East.

Talking about his exhibition, he explains: "After three summers enriched by adapted stays, I found this job as an accompanying driver: picking up children at home every morning, driving them to the IME and doing the reverse journey in the evening. And every day the waltz of vehicles resumes in front of the IME, and every morning as I leave the children in the hands of the educational team I ask myself: what's going on in there?"

Through pencil sketches made during a six-week immersion program, come and discover the daily life of children at the Institut Médico Educatif.

To complement this exhibition, Mathias Mercier will be running a sketching workshop for students on Tuesday April 1 from 1 to 2 pm in the Salle Ateliers of the BU Lettres & SHS on the occasion of the Journées des Arts et de la Culture dans l'Enseignement Supérieur (JACES).

Opening of the exhibition in the presence of the artist on Monday March 17 from 5.30pm.

The exhibition is open to all.
