Exposition Permanente - Laurence Jenkell

L'AUTRE GALERIE, located in the historic heart of Nancy just a stone's throw from Place Stanislas, presents three exceptional sculptures by Laurence Jenkell, an internationally renowned French artist. Her famous Plexiglas "Wrapping Bonbons" - a 34 cm radiant iridescent, a 40 cm embossed radiant iridescent and a monumental 60 cm pearly white - are unique pieces that capture and multiply light in changing reflections.

These contemporary creations weave a fascinating dialogue with Nancy's artistic heritage: their embossed texture evokes the engraved glass of the École de Nancy, their transparencies recall the glass masterpieces of Gallé and Daum, while their iridescent reflections echo the crystals of Baccarat. Just as the capital of Lorraine has always celebrated the art of sweetness with its bergamots and macaroons, Jenkell's sculpted sweets continue this refined gourmet tradition, while bringing it into the 21st century.

Exhibited in over 50 countries and present at major events such as the G20 and the Venice Biennale, Laurence Jenkell continues in Nancy the tradition of daring that has characterized the city since Stanislas.
