In 2025, the 11th architecture film festival is part of the Métro'folies event, celebrating an architectural and decorative movement that is highly represented in Nancy: art deco. Decors, from architecture to furniture, typography and fashion, are all elements that reveal the vivacity and essence of the "Roaring Twenties" style. With the Maison de l'architecture de Lorraine, immerse yourself in the art deco atmosphere through the works of directors from the 20s, or rediscover the contemporary films that celebrate the era.

Claire Lescot, a famous opera singer who is much admired, is an insensitive and cold woman. When she rejects Einer Norsen, a young engineer, he fakes his suicide. In the process, he makes her realize just how tough she really is. L'Inhumaine is a silent film considered an emblematic work of the French cinematic avant-garde, blending drama, music, science fiction and visual experimentation.
musician - Jérôme Fohrer Bassist, Double bassist, Composer.

Initially a bassist in the rock scene, Jérôme Fohrer joined Bernard Struber's double bass class at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg to perfect his composition skills. He also broadened his horizons by playing in classical and baroque orchestras, while actively participating in the regional and national jazz scene.

An adept of demanding, adventurous music, he prefers to write his own pages rather than reread those of others. For over twenty years, this approach has led him to collaborate with a multitude of groups from a wide variety of backgrounds, and to travel the world on projects as diverse as they are original.
For "L'Inhumaine", Jérôme Fohrer composed an original score to accompany the film, without following traditional codes.
Rather than an illustration of the image, it seeks to reveal its emotions and link the scenes by a continuous sound atmosphere. The result is a sensitive listening experience, conceived as an extension of the visual impression.
