Danse - Poésie Palestinienne - Soirée Electro - Dabké Fever

Come and celebrate Palestinian culture as part of the Spring of Palestine organized by AFPS Sud Lorraine!

POETRY - AL QUDWA MOHAMMED - 8:30pm
Palestinian poet Mohammed Al Qudwa will perform a reading of his texts in Arabic, accompanied by a French translation. He is an emerging 21-year-old poet and writer from Gaza, Palestine. A computer science student and top-level Karate athlete on the national team, he published his first novel in Arabic, Last Destination, in 2022, and several of his poems have been translated into English. He has also developed numerous creative writing workshops for children in exile.

DANCE - ZAFFET EL KOFIYE
Two 15-minute performances at 9pm and 10pm.

The Zaffet El Kofiye troupe will set the MJC Lillebonne alight. Created in 2021, the troupe brings together dancers from Dabké. Emblematic of Palestinian culture, Dabké is a dance that celebrates festive moments. Above all, it is a powerful means of artistic expression for resisting and preserving Palestinian culture, affirming the identity of the Palestinian people, their resilience and their resistance.

DJ SET - DJ DØDØ
DJ DØDØ will be at the turntables to set your eardrums vibrating. Originally from Syria, DØDØ combines traditional music with beats and dance rhythms. Somewhere between house and techno, he plays with the codes of musical genres to create joy and ecstasy, evoking the lightness of the soul through dance.
