In reference to the Comité Nancy-Paris, a 1920s Art Deco organization founded by Georges Sadoul, which brought together enlightened amateurs, patrons and musicians from Lorraine from 1923 to 1927. The Committee organized conferences, exhibitions and concerts to disseminate modern aesthetic concepts.
Three highly contrasting string quartets: Germaine Tailleferre's string quartet, inspired by Ravel's fluid, impressionistic music; Arthur Honegger's darker, mechanically rhythmic Quartet No. 2; and Louis Thirion's music, very close to Debussy, with its lyrical flights and dense musical fabric. The performers for this concert: Franck Natan and Rémy Chopinez violin, Marie Triplet-Stengel viola, Morgan Gabin cello.
