An exhibition from the Graphic Arts Department.

Romanian-born artists Maria Mesterou and Mircea Milcovitch are inspired by kinetic and optical art. Living in France since the 1970s, they have made a name for themselves thanks to their mastery of silkscreen printing.

François Paul-Cavallier, son of an industrialist from Lorraine - former president of the Pont-à-Mousson company - and a musician and amateur painter, has donated some 750 works to the museum, mainly graphic arts, drawings and prints, by artists who produced from the 1950s onwards. Most of these works are prints published by the company he founded: Editions de La Tortue.
The presentation of a selection of works by the Mesterou-Milcovitch couple inaugurates a series of exhibitions at the museum based on this major donation.
