Exposition - Manières de mesurer les Marées - Anna Moreno

Exhibition, Graphic Arts in Nancy
  • Anna Moreno's work is inspired by the concept of solastalgia, defined by Croatian philosopher Srecko Horvat as a nostalgia for the future, or even for a disappearing present. Anna Moreno's work is inspired by the concept of solastalgia, defined by Croatian philosopher Srecko Horvat as a nostalgia for the future, or even for a disappearing present. At the heart of her exhibition project is the Ebro delta, a territory located in southern Catalonia, marked by its environmental fragility, socio-economic tensions, historical memory and the uncertainties of a future marked by the impact of climate change on this specific ecosystem and, in particular, the rising waters of the Mediterranean.

Anna Moreno (1984) lives and works between Barcelona and The Hague. Her research-based approach focuses on the unfinished nature of events and explores how fiction, film editing and speculative thinking can reactivate them. Through films, installations and collaborative processes, she questions how our societies construct and project their futures. She has held residencies at numerous international institutions, including the Jan Van Eyck Academy in Maastricht, SASG in Seoul, HIAP in Helsinki, Salzamt in Linz and Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto in Biella. His work has been exhibited at MOCBA (Belgrade), SAS Geumcheon (Seoul), 1646 (The Hague) and is currently on show at MACBA, Barcelona's contemporary art museum.
