The Bibliothèque universitaire de Lettres & SHS will host an exhibition of works by artist Seohyeon Kim.
Born in Seoul in 1994, Seohyeon Kim began her studies in contemporary art at Konkuk University in South Korea, then continued her training at the École Supérieure d'Art de Lorraine, Pôle arts plastiques (ÉSAL) in Metz, where she obtained her Diplôme National Supérieur d'Expression Plastique in 2024. Today, she lives and works in Belfort, France.

A visual artist specializing in installation, Seohyeon Kim uses the exhibition space as a spotlight to highlight the marginalized and invisible. For this exhibition, Seohyeon Kim will be presenting Rat-volution français, a series that hijacks clichés of French society, as well as works co-created with homeless people.
This exhibition is organized in collaboration with 49 Nord 6 Est, Fonds régional d'art contemporain de Lorraine, as part of the first edition of the "Faire son chemin" program run by ESAL Pôle arts plastiques de Metz and Frac Lorraine.
The exhibition opening will take place on Tuesday September 9 at 6pm.
