Le Livre sur la Place is delighted to welcome French author Nicolas Mathieu ("Le ciel ouvert", Actes Sud) and American author William Boyle ("Éteindre la Lune", Gallmeister).

Influenced by American literature from an early age, Nicolas Mathieu met American writer William Boyle during an artist residency in Mississippi in 2023, organized by the Villa Albertine. From this meeting, a story of friendship was born. From the same generation (born in 1978), Nicolas Mathieu and William Boyle have in common the fact that they were spotted as soon as they wrote their first novel. By anchoring their texts in the territory, speaking of familiar places and drawing portraits of characters on the margins, they represent contemporary social and realist literature. They also share a love of cinema.

Hosted by journalist and historian Thomas Snégaroff. Performer: Thibault Gendreau.

    Admission subject to capacity.
Book signing on site with Le Hall du Livre bookshop.

Of note - Tuesday May 27, 2025 at 7:30pm at Caméo Saint-Sébastien, presentation by authors Nicolas Mathieu and William Boyle, followed by screening of Louis Malle's film Atlantic City.
