2 lectures in the evening, hosted by Florence Nicolas, granddaughter of Paul Nicolas. In the first lecture, discover the extent to which light guided the artist's work, becoming much more than a simple visual effect but a veritable living material, capable of metamorphosing space and revealing the hidden beauty of objects and forms.
The second lecture focuses on the artist's political and societal commitments. The artist was close to socialist ideas advocating a more equitable society. He actively supported labor movements and progressive causes. He also took part in a number of cultural initiatives aimed at making art accessible to all, rejecting artistic elitism.
