Le Livre sur la Place invites you to meet Delphine de VIGAN, hosted by Sarah Polacci, General Commissioner of Le Livre sur la Place.

What traces do our lives leave behind? Romane Monnier has disappeared. All that remains of her is a cell phone entrusted to a stranger one Saturday night in a bar. Thomas will deconstruct her messages, photos, notes and exchanges, delve into the heart of her applications and try to piece together Romane Monnier's life. Why did she voluntarily disappear? And why did she choose him?

In her new novel, Je suis Romane Monnier (Gallimard), Delphine de Vigan explores our virtual worlds and, through the traces we leave on our phones, questions society and what it makes of us. Delphine de Vigan is notably the author of No et moi, Rien ne s'oppose à la nuit, D'après une histoire vraie (Prix Renaudot and Goncourt des lycéens), and Les enfants sont rois.

Je suis Romane Monnier by Delphine de Vigan (Gallimard, 2026).
