Elles sont folles! (These years)

Nancy, October 14, 1919. The hall lights up, chandeliers sparkle, elegant people take their seats. The newly inaugurated Opéra opens its doors to a new world. At the same moment, an official decree announces the demobilization of the last soldiers of the Great War.

A century later, the scene is replayed - and you're invited. In 2025, while Nancy celebrates Art Deco and the 100th anniversary of the 1925 International Exhibition with the Métro'Folies, the Opéra national de Nancy-Lorraine revives the effervescence of the Roaring Twenties with a gala dinner in an unprecedented format. Foxtrot, Charleston, blues, tango... rhythms from America electrify Europe. Ravel seized on them, Hahn dressed them in feathers and silk. Art was emancipated, and so were women. Tonight, the Opéra remembers, ignites and transforms. It will be a total celebration. This world has so much to say...
