The Salon du Livre au Château returns for its 13¿ edition! This not-to-be-missed day in Saint-Max celebrates the pleasure of reading and discovering, around the theme "Les Sciences à la Page".
Over 40 authors will be on hand, alongside scientists, artists, teachers and mediators, for a day punctuated by workshops, exhibitions, screenings, lectures and even an escape game for young and old alike.

Over 40 authors will be on hand, alongside scientists, artists, teachers and mediators, for a day punctuated by workshops, exhibitions, screenings, lectures and even an escape game for young and old alike.
This year, the show is honored to welcome Francis Martin, world-renowned forest researcher and specialist, as guest of honor. Founder of the ARBRE laboratory of excellence in Nancy, he will share his discoveries on the fascinating underground networks linking trees and mushrooms at an inaugural meeting at 11am.
Activities & workshops for all
Throughout the day, the public can explore :
- Nancy Aquarium Museum's cabinet of curiosities, to discover the secrets of taxidermy.
- The Féru des Sciences science experiments: conductors or insulators?
- Le voyage des plantes, a microscope observation workshop with the Botanical Garden.
- Antoine Guitton's Minute, a playful look at the big scientific questions.
- And for younger visitors: creative, robotic and sensory workshops, plus a scientific escape game entitled Panique dans la bibliothèque!

- 3pm: "Science & Fiction" round table with Fleur Hopkins-Loféron, Isabelle Bauthian and Léo Henry
- 4pm: Literary tea - exchanges between authors and IUT Métiers du Livre students
- 6pm: Screening of the film La Forêt gourmande followed by a discussion with Francis Martin
- 7:30pm: Star-gazing with the Société Lorraine d'Astronomie (weather permitting)
