Summer 2025. The Château de Fléville is still rustling with the footsteps of visitors, when two children, Claire and Simon, discreetly slip away from the group. Behind a forgotten door, they encounter a strange wax figure... who comes to life to tell them a story that goes back over 150 years.
In 1871, two other children - also named Claire and Simon - are brutally separated by a new frontier born of war: the Seille, once a children's river, becomes a dividing line between France and...Summer 2025. Behind a forgotten door, they encounter a strange wax figure... who comes to life to tell them a story that goes back over 150 years.
In 1871, two other children - also named Claire and Simon - are brutally separated by a new frontier born of war: the Seille, once a children's river, becomes a dividing line between France and Germany.
And so begins a tale of parallel lives, marked by the upheavals of history. Claire, who had become a schoolteacher in Germany and a nurse during the Great War, regained French nationality in 1919.
