Come and discover an unsuspected part of Nancy's history, that of beer and breweries. As you stroll through the city's streets, you'll pass through the ages to get to grips with this thousand-year-old past. It's a story of ingenious men and iconic brands, of age-old traditions and technical innovations. There are many witnesses to this brewing past: architecture, sculptures, stained-glass windows. They dot the city, highlighting its industrial and craft brewing heritage. We'll look at the emergence of beer in Lorraine in ancient times, its production by monks in the Middle Ages, the legislation of its production by dukes in the modern era, and its flowering in the Belle Époque.

You will then be welcomed at the Tourist Office for a tasting of local craft beers.
