Create your own Fused Glass Christmas Magic with Cerfav!
Open to everyone aged 6 and over.

Initiate yourself to the fusing technique during a special day of activities at the Metropolitan Tourist Office with Cerfav (Centre Européen de Recherche et de Formation aux Arts Verriers, in Vannes-le-Châtel), by creating your own multicolored decoration in flat glass, on the theme of Christmas.
A cross between mosaic and stained glass, fusing is a technique that uses small pieces of colored flat glass on a transparent glass form. The whole is then heated to a high temperature (820°) in our furnaces. The pieces of glass melt, adhere and fuse together.
Assembling pieces of glass in different colors makes it possible to create a variety of decorations to suit everyone's imagination.
Children must be accompanied by an adult (the accompanying adult is not obliged to take part in the activity).

PLEASE NOTE: Fusing creations must be fused in our furnaces in Vannes-le-Châtel, and will be available for collection at least one week after the event, during Tourist Office opening hours.
