Exposition - Vente Solidaire - Artisanat Himalayen

The SolHimal association, founded in 1988, aims to support the Himalayan populations of Nepal and India. As part of its activities, it is organizing an exhibition and sale of Himalayan handicrafts at the Salle de l'Eglise Sainte-Bernadette in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy, in aid of the association.

This sale will enable visitors to discover a variety of original items made by Tibetan and Nepalese craftsmen, including Buddhist objects, thangkas, cushions, hand-knotted wool rugs, cashmere scarves, Himalayan teas, jewelry, bags, rice paper items, Himalayan clothing and singing bowls.In addition to discovering these Himalayan handicraft treasures, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about SolHimal's sponsorship actions and meet the association's volunteers and sponsors.
Profits from the sale will go towards two ambitious projects: the construction of greenhouses in the Dolpo region of Nepal, to enable 100 families to provide for their vegetable needs and sell the surplus, and the establishment of orchards in the same region, offering 160 families the chance to make a living from trading apples and nuts.
