Fête du Vélo

The Fête du vélo takes over the Vandoeuvre velodrome. A unique event, combining cycling heritage and citizen mobilization for soft mobility.

For the first time ever, the Fête du vélo leaves Nancy for the Velodrome in Vandoeuvre. A symbolic choice, in homage to what was once a Mecca for local sport. A digital reconstruction and an animated film recounting the forgotten history of the Montet velodrome, active at the beginning of the 20th century, bear witness to this glorious past.
The site is also the setting for a festive and committed event: La Fête du Vélo, sponsored this year by former world champion Catherine Marsal.
A large forum tent will host debates and conferences, while the public will be treated to races and events, children's courses, BMX demonstrations, bike tests, musical entertainment... The aim? To inform and bring people together around the theme of soft mobility.
The traditional bike parade, always eagerly awaited, will set off at 2 p.m. for an 11 km route between the Vélodrome and downtown Nancy.
