The centenary of the Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs et industriels modernes is an opportunity to rediscover a jewel of industrial Art Deco - the Nancy headquarters of the Société des Hauts-Fourneaux et Fonderies de Pont-à-Mousson. This remarkable building, designed by architect Jean Bourgon, bears witness to the alliance between architecture and industry at the time.

Jean Bourgon surrounded himself with a team of decorative artists who had already distinguished themselves in 1925 with the creation of the Pavillon de Nancy et de l'Est de la France. Among them were stained-glass artists Jacques Grüber and André Lemoine, ironworkers Jean Prouvé and Edgar Brandt, and sculptor Émile Just Bachelet. Other Parisian artists also contributed to the project, including wrought ironworker Raymond Subes and mosaicists Alphonse Gentil & François Bourdet. The entire decorative program, commissioned by director Camille Cavallier, celebrates the greatness of Mussipont industry through exceptional artistry.

The exhibition and tours offer a unique opportunity to discover this architecture in its original state, thanks to the exceptional openness of the building, now owned by the Université de Lorraine. They are offered by second-year students in the History of Art - Museum and Exhibition Professions (HAMME) master's program at the Université de Lorraine.
