This will be the French premiere of the British Festival Ballet, directed by Yassaui Mergaliyev, an exceptional dancer who won the gold medal at the prestigious Varna competition and was honored by the Kazakhstan government for his artistic career, and Sophie Mergaliyev, a former dancer with Sweden's Royal Ballet. The refined style and traditions of the Vaganova school and the technical prowess of the English school make this young company one of the most successful on tour today.
