Created by Brazilian playwright Augusto Boal in the 1970s, Theatre of the Oppressed aims to make oppression visible and to train people to resist it.
Through the sharing of personal accounts, the staging of life stories and the mobilization of the body, it is a real tool for collectively imagining paths of action, struggle and defense, and thus for reinforcing our power to act.

Through the sharing of personal accounts, the staging of life stories and the mobilization of the body, it is a real tool for collectively imagining paths of action, struggle and defense, and thus for reinforcing our power to act.
MAN is co-organizing with Emilie Boulangé a weekend of discovery of the theater of the oppressed on the theme "indignées contre le patriarcat" ("indignant against patriarchy").
The situations of oppression experienced as women are numerous and most often intimate, common, and therefore political: mental burden, harassment in the public or professional space, domestic or medical violence, etc. In order to exclude any mechanism of gender influence, and to free expression as much as possible, this workshop is a single-sex event for women only.
The aim is to cross-reference the issues they encounter as women, and which they want to take action on.
On the program: exercises in inter-knowledge and group cohesion, theatrical exercises, image theater, forum theater, etc.
No theatrical prerequisites are required, and this workshop is not intended to develop acting skills.
