  • Place Stanislas is considered as one of the loveliest royal squares in Europe. It is an architectural jewel in Nancy’s crown, a perfect example of 18th century French classicism; it was listed by UNESCO on the World Heritage Sites in 1983. Built by Emmanuel Héré, it is surrounded by gilded wrought iron gates by the master iron craftsman Jean Lamour and the splendid fountains were sculpted by Barthélémy Guibal. The Town Hall, the Opéra-Théâtre and the Beaux-Arts Museum are also situated in this magnificent square.
